FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK

Soon after taking over the charge of principal of Rukasen College, Bakalia in 2013, it became my top priority to create an environment conducive for a good teaching-learning exercise, keeping in mind the pace with the changing world so that the college could emerge as a synonym for “distinct Environment of Excellence in Education” for the new learners through the exemplary motto of “Knowledge, Love and Service”. Simultaneously, the academic and extension activities of the college are drawn from well defined goals of higher education to promote competent knowledge citizens who are not only skilled, but are also morally upright and spiritually inspired with “humane values and social commitment”. Keeping this point in view, I have attempted to develop the infrastructure of the college with the active support of the faculties, office staff, students, guardians and the leading well-wishers of the college. It would be wrong if I would not mention the contribution of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, which has always been with us for creating a knowledge based environment through infrastructural development. I hope to have the same amount of co-operation from all corners to secure the set objectives of the college within a specified timeframe. Lastly, I would like to cite here a writing of Helen Keller: “alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
