Rukasen College, Bakalia is the leading institution of higher education in Bakaliaghat area established in 1992.It aims at providing higher education facilities to enlighten the youths for the region. The department of political science, Rukasen College, Bakalia formally established in 1994, when received formal affiliation from Assam University, Silchar. Initially, it was a department with one faculty member and started general (Pass) course only. In 2009 Honours Courses has introduced. Since its inception the department has been trying to provide quality education to the students using affordable teaching tools and techniques. At present department of political science is smoothly running with four faculty members offering both honours and pass course.
