In the midst of a charming view on the foot hills and its calm surrounding with green nature, Rukasen College started its pious journey with the thirst for knowledge of higher education with convening a public meeting on 9th April 1992. On 28th June 1992 where a resolution was taken to start both the Two Year Higher Secondary and Three Year Degree Courses in Arts stream only. On 1st September 1992, this glorious institution was, accordingly, inaugurated to kindle a beacon of light and bring about intellectual progress of an agriculturally rural/sub-urban populace to create a community of individuals with integrity. Enabled by an honest, selfless and hardworking principal Sri HorendraNath Borah with a group of dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, the college, for the last more than two decades,had been catering to the needs of growing aspirations of the people of Bakalia area in particular and the entire district in general.
